After a year in quarantine, Plowshares is saying “The Show Must Go On.”
Just over a year ago when the COVID-19 pandemic began, we put our season on hold as a precaution to protect our patrons, artists, and crew member from harm. But unlike other professions that have begun to consider a permanent work-from-home arrangement, a theater company can’t do that.
So as a precursor to that time when we will be able to invite our audience back into a theater to share a story we decided to do the next best thing.
This week, Friday, April 30, at 7:30 PM we will present a dramatic reading of Lee Edward Colston II’s play “ROOST.” The play will be broadcast live over the internet and not be recorded for delayed viewing. The broadcast will be visible on YouTube, Facebook, and the Plowshares website.
RSVP for our free, live-streamed event and celebrate the resilience of our local creatives including Jon Kent, Nicole Marie Hunt, Scott Norman, Edward Gaines, Michael Joseph, and Deborah Chenault-Green. Cocktail attire or pajamas – it’s up to you. Just join us on April 30!
